The University Women’s Association of Bangalore (UWAB) was formed in 1963 by a small group of women graduates. Today the Association has nearly a 100 women members from all parts of Bangalore and representing all age groups including recent graduates as well as the earliest member who graduated in the 1940s.

A diverse group of women, reflecting the interwoven fabric of the city of Bangalore – the UWAB is a blend of cosmopolitans, social workers, working women, housewives, hard-nosed corporates, sensitive artists and writers and many more such women achievers! Women (young and older) who have come together under the UWAB umbrella to make a positive difference to lives ... theirs as well as that of others!

    One common denominator - All members are graduates with one common asipration - to educate, enlighten & thus empower lives.
