Organisation

Women’s Association Bangalore (UWAB) was formed in 1963 by a small group of women graduates. Today the Association has nearly hundred women members from all parts of Bangalore and representing all age groups including recent graduates as well as the earliest member who graduated in the 1940s.

UWAB is managed by a board of 9 members supported by a committee comprising volunteers. The term of the present board and comittee begain in November 2009 and will typically span two to three years.

Sub-committees are instituted to handle different projects as seen fit. Each sub-committee is again composed of volunteers.

Today we have sub-committees for the hostel mangement, the CTC, fund-raising (for the new hostel project) and for social work.
