Is this hostel only for single/ unmarried women?

This hostel is meant for women who need accommodation in Bangalore. (Please see the eligibility critera). We do have married women whose spouses are posted outside of Bangalore living in the hostel. Do contact the warden and she will review your eligibility and guide you accordingly.

What about food? Will I need to cook or are there canteen facilities?

In order to make it easier on our residents, we have a fully functional kitchen. We have sub-contracted it out and have a caterer cooking meals for the residents. Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner, tea/ coffee are catered for. All residents are expected to avail the facility provided.

I will be in Bangalore for just about 6 months (on training / for my job), can I avail a room at the hostel?

Yes, short term stays are also possible. Our aim is to ensure that working women do not have to worry about safe and secure housing when in Bangalore. If rooms are available, we will most certainly accommodate you in the hostel.

I am a student and I have to do my industrial training in Bangalore. Will I get accommodation in the UWAB Hostel?

Please refer the response to the previous question. If there are rooms/ dorm beds available, you will be accommodated. Do contact the warden for more information.
